The chemical manufacturing activity was started initially on small scale with a view to make available import substitute dyestuff intermediate. Dr.V.E.Inamdar who is the founder member of this group has obtained Doctorate degree in Dyestuff Technology from University Department of Chemicals Technology from University Of Mumbai in 1972.For the research work NASA (USA) had awarded fellowship to him.
This intermediate was successfully developed of purity 99% and introduced for the first time in India by us for the first time. The manufacturing activity initially was on small scale. When once quality was established and demandAs a next development step we decided to work out new processes for manufacturing of basic dyes; avoiding water effluent and crystallization of these products from water. Basic magentas (Basic Violet-2, Basic Violet-14, Basic Red-9) were isolated by using organic solvents instead of water .The product qualities were excellent and amine free. Basic dyes were obtained for the first time by this technique in India.
Now we are manufacturing Basic dyes, Acid dyes, and various Dye Intermediates at our plant in Satara. Stared increasing for PAAB, regular manufacturing activity on medium scale was started in industrial zone at Satara (Maharashtra-India) under M/S.Parco Pharmaceuticals (P) LTD.
