Acme Synthetic Chemicals was established in 1970. Acme is the pioneer in the manufacture of Chromatographic Adsorbents like Silica Gel and Aluminium Oxide. Acme developed Chromatographic grade adsorbents as an import sustitute and started manufacturing and supplying to the Indian and export market in 1970. Later Acme developed a form of Silica Gel used as a slip agent in polymers, again an import substitute. Acme also developed technology for the manufacture of High Purity Lipid chemicals (of 99+% purity). During the course of development of these products Acme built up a very well equipped R & D lab and gained considerable expertise in research and development of manufacturing technologies.
