The year was 1987. In the coastal city of Pondicherry, a quiet revolution began in the manufacture of Barium-based chemicals as well as Sodium sulphide, indespensible in the manufacture of hundreds of consumer and industrial products. The unit was Athiappa Chemicals (P) Ltd., the flagship company of the Athiappa Group.
Within a decade Athiappa Chemicals rose to be the leading manufacturer of Barium Chemicals in India. With its highly developed expertise and dedication, Athiappa Chemicals has occupied the top slot in the Indian Barium Chemicals Industries.
