Environmental Chemical Corporation has been based in Canton, Ohio for the past 27 years. It was founded in 1973 by owners Richard Morena and Tom Wucinich. The company specializes in the production and distribution of commercial grade cleaners and deodorizers for industrial and food processing businesses and construction markets.
ECC has changed locations five times to accommodate its rapid growth and production. The company was started in the home of Richard Morena. Tom and Dick were experienced salesman, working for a company that is now a competitor, and decided to go into business for themselves. At this time, the business was based on direct customer sales. Two years later, they were able to move into warehouse space on Freedom Ave., N.W.

Their second move came in 1977, when they built a 5, 000 sq. Ft. Facility in the Akcan Industrial Park. During this time, they hired one salesman, added a chemist. By 1987, they had 55 employees, including warehouse and office staff and salespersons. They had relocated to a 15, 000 sq. Ft. Building at 3074 Navarre Rd. This was their home for nearly 13 years, until their final move into a 58, 000 sq. Ft. Facility at 730 Market Ave. In August of 2000.

At present, ECC sells over 300 specialty commercial and industrial cleaning products and machinery. The company is constantly researching new product development and strives to make everything environmentally safe.

Environmental's Chemical Division generates the majority of our sales. The Concrete Division, which applies sealers and hardeners to concrete floors, is responsible for a quarter of ECC's sales. The Food Service Division specializes in antibacterial products and procedures for food processing plants.

ECC has sales representatives in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It also has a Telemarketing Division which handles sales at the national level.
